Performance
Waltz is a multimedia performance developed in Katherine Helen Fisher’s Hyperreal Spectacle in Interactive Performance class. Using audience-generated text prompts, real-time AI image generation, live video, a motion sensor, and movement-triggered sound, the work explores what “hyperreal” meant to the artist through a collision of Strauss’s The Blue Danube, Sylvia Plath’s “Daddy,” and social media audio surrounding the Columbia University encampment protest and its removal by NYPD.
