Second Home: Digital Tango is a creative documentary and visual ethnographic film by ZIWEI 子维, developed through an internship and research process at Tangotanzen macht schön, a tango dance school in Berlin. Following the school’s transition from an analog class-registration system to a digital platform, the project uses digitalization as an entry point into a wider inquiry into tango, community, migration, language, and belonging. Through interviews, observational footage, and the filmmaker’s own presence, the film explores how tango becomes an embodied language of listening, touch, leading, following, and mutual negotiation.
